To construct an equilateral triangle with side AB.
Let lover A stand with lover B – let them separate far enough to make space for a third lover.

If the stresses are equal this structure cannot be shifted or altered – save by twisting.

With centre A and radius AB describe and arc above the line. Repeat same radius with centre B, such that the two arcs intersect at C. Lover C now comes into being. Draw straight lines from C to A and C to B.

The aesthetic ‘stresses’ involved will rapidly warp what to the outsider is equilateral. However, within the ‘warp’ – will appear a further equilateral structure  – a constant threat.
