I think it was 1972, when Robert and I traveled to Amsterdam together and were watching all the Rembrandts.
Robert was very inspired by Rembrandt at that time, in his earlier paintings.
While we were standing in front of The Jewish Bride, he told me, that he wanted to paint this painting and paint me as well on it. It didn't happen, because I wasn't there. Instead he painted his ex-wife Monica on it.
