Painting title is "The Painter with Jenni Gitson". The painter is portrayed as an omni-presence or spirit figure floating above the sitter, with Jenni reaching up to him.

The Aristotle Theme is the first part of the three formulas from project 18 which takes as its starting point the metaphor of " the folly of wise men". this painting is exhibit 31 from the project of which many were exhibited at the 1994 exhibition in Birmingham.
