The Plymouth Auction Rooms 12 Dec 2007, lot 135: "To reverse is an unfinished oil believed to be by Lenkiewicz".

eBay #120219939744, ended 14-Feb-08, seller: utp79: An original unfinished oil painting by R.O. Lenkiewicz from his studio in Plymouth.  The story of this painting started when one of Lenkiewicz's students, 'Roskeli' needed a canvas for a comission piece, so Lenkiewicz gave him one of his own canvas's that he hadn't finished and told him to use the other side.  Thus, the Roskeli painting is on the front, with Lenkiewicz's unfinished piece on the back.  It was entered into an auction in the hometown of Lenkiewicz (Plymouth in Devon) that specialises in his paintings- see 'plymouthauctions.co.uk'.  They state in their catalogue that "it is believed to be by Lenkiewicz", but having spoken to the auctioneers there, they confirmed these points, but as it is not signed, they had to use the word 'believed'.
